What are exosomes?

Exosomes are classed as cellular vesicles. They are tiny bubbles created by cells that aid communication by transferring proteins, peptides, and RNA. While all cells produce exosomes, exosomes generated from stem cells are known in regenerative medicine for their exceptional capacity to stimulate tissue healing.

Exosomes are being used in cosmetic therapy to rejuvenate the skin. They contain three times the growth factors present in stem cells, making them more effective than other skin-healing procedures.

Skin Conditions

Exosome therapy for skin rejuvenation is quick, relatively painless, and requires no downtime. Results may last months or even years. Exosome therapy can treat a variety of common skin conditions, including but not limited to the following:

  • Fine lines

  • Wrinkles

  • Skin sagging

  • Age spots

  • Melasma

  • Acne

  • Enlarged pores

  • Dullness

  • Rosacea

When used in facial rejuvenation, exosomes offer several benefits:

  • Regeneration and Repair: Exosomes contain growth factors, cytokines, and microRNA that stimulate cellular repair and regeneration. When applied to the skin, they can encourage collagen and elastin production, leading to smoother and firmer skin.

  • Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Exosomes have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce redness and irritation, making them suitable for individuals with sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea.

  • Enhanced Skin Texture: Exosomes can improve skin texture by minimising the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. They can also enhance the overall radiance and glow of the skin.

  • Increased Skin Hydration: Exosomes can enhance skin hydration, which is crucial for maintaining a youthful appearance of the skin

  • Minimal Downtime: Exosome treatments are minimally invasive and require little to no downtime. Most individuals can resume their regular activities shortly after the procedure.

  • Long-Lasting Results: While individual results may vary, the effects of exosome treatments are often long-lasting, as they stimulate the body’s natural regenerative processes.

How Do Exosomes Work?

Exosomes act as vectors or carrier molecules, triggering a reaction in skin cells. They increase cell communication, promoting tissue healing.

Most exosome formulations can be administered directly to the skin, but some require injection. These products' exosomes can easily penetrate skin cells, triggering skin regeneration through their anti-inflammatory and cell proliferating properties. Exosomes can also stimulate fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin fibers, which give the skin structure, support, and strength.

Aesthetic medicine formulations include billions of active exosomes comprising a dozen growth factors and several peptides.

Exosomes
VS

PRP/PRF

Exosomes vs PRP.png
Which is better, Exosomes or PRP/PRF?

Unlike typical stem cell therapy, which uses donor cells from the patient's blood, exosome therapy takes a completely different method. Exosomes are isolated from donated mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and sterilized.

Put another way, a PRP/PRF treatment involves using your own blood and stem cells; however, you should be aware that the growth factors you receive will depend on your age. Essentially, PRP/PRF is limited because if you are 60, you will benefit from a 60-year-old growth factor. That is the primary distinction between PRP and exosomes; exosomes provide more growth factors since they are not age-dependent. As a result, the outcomes will be far more consistent!

ExoHealer Filcore SB Treatments

Exosomes can be applied to the skin in a number of ways, depending on the treatment plan and medical professional preferences. Here are some popular ways to administer exosomes to the skin:

Treatment options:
Peel with Exosome infusion

Chemical peels improve your appearance by removing the top layer of dead, damaged, and dry skin cells, revealing a healthy complexion beneath. Meanwhile, exosome therapy encourages collagen formation and cellular repair, yielding more thorough outcomes.

Together, these therapies can address a variety of skin health issues. When paired with chemical peels, exosomes can penetrate deep into the skin, nourishing your cells and amplifying the rejuvenating effects. Exosomes can also lessen treatment-related discomfort, downtime, and peeling.

Honeycomb Laser resurfacing w/ Exosomes

A non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure that uses a fractional laser to treat the deeper layers of skin. The laser energy promotes collagen and skin cell regeneration, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and uneven skin tone.

When Exosome Therapy is combined with laser rejuvenation, it not only accelerates recovery but also improves the overall outcome by effectively "turbo charging" your skin cells' ability to regenerate new skin cells.

Hyaluronic acid is contained between collagen and elastin fiber tissue of skin dermis layer.

If hyaluronic acid is lacking, vacant space sinks. Hyaluronic acid can store more than 1000 times its own weight of moisture, moisture retaining ability is the most excellent moisture.

Hyaluronic acid, a natural moisturizing agent, is added to the skin to make the skin shiny and elastic.

Secret 4. Glutathione

Glutathione, which is commonly known as an whitening injectable ingredient, reduces melanin pigmentation in the skin and replaces the melanin pigment that has been deposited with bright melanin to brighten the skin tone.

Secret 5. 48 amino acids + minerals + vitamin complex

The cellofill complex, which is prescribed as the main ingredient in cell culture media, contains nucleic acids, coenzymes, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that act as catalysts for various biochemical reactions in skin cells, providing an optimal environment for skin cells. It provides abundant nutrients, appropriate pH concentration, and osmotic pressure to help skin cells grow well, creating an environment in which healthy skin cells can be created and grow.

Post Care

Before treatment:

  • Avoid alcoholic beverages 24 hours before treatment as they may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.

  • Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the area.

  • Before your procedure, make sure you eat a good breakfast and drink something. This reduces the risk of lightheadedness during your treatment.

  • Avoid using Retin-A two days before and after treatment.

  • For two weeks before treatment, avoid taking anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications. Certain medications and supplements, including aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and others, can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling following injections.

After Treatment:

  • Do not pick or scratch the skin. Aerobic exercise or vigorous physical activity should be avoided immediately after treatment. Can resume after 72hrs.

  • Direct sunlight exposure is to be avoided immediately following the treatment. This includes any strong UV light exposure or tanning beds. SPF 30+ must be applied daily post procedure and should be integrated into your daily skin routine for best results.

  • Do not cleanse your skin the evening of your procedure

  • Do not use facial scrubs or mechanical scrubs on the body area for 2 weeks post treatment

  • Do not have laser hair removal, photofacials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks post treatment

  • Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, and excessively hot showers for 48 hours

  • Avoid sunbathing for at least 48 hrs (although, we recommend this indefinitely) to prevent UV rays from damaging your skin which slows down the benefits of the Mesotherapy Treatment. Patients who absolutely cannot avoid sun exposure should use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to maintain your improved skin.

  • Injections can be resumed in 24-72 hrs post procedure as recommended by your Monaco specialist

  • Waxing, shaving and depilatories can be resumed in 72 hrs or longer as recommended by your Monaco specialist

  • Avoid heat ( hot showers, Sauna, and intense cardio ) for 24 hrs. Heat can cause irritation to a recently treated area.

  • Topical prescription medications can be resumed in 7 days or later as recommended by your Health Care Professional. OTC acne medication may be resumed in 72hrs or greater as recommended by your Health Care Professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DPL treatment painful?

Mesotherapy is a relatively painless skin rejuvenation procedure. The treatment is usually less than an hour long. Clients may feel mild discomfort, commonly described as a "pricking" sensation, but a numbing cream can be applied beforehand to make you more comfortable. Because of the gentle approach and non-invasive technique, many clients can resume their normal daily activities following treatment. Some, however, prefer to take a day off to allow any discomfort or redness in the treatment areas to subside.

How should I get ready for the treatment?

Our professional staff will advise you on how to best prepare for treatment during the initial consultation. You should avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds, and avoid medications that make you more sensitive to light.

How many sessions will I require?

The number of treatments required may vary, and your treatment provider will tailor a treatment plan to your specific needs. You can easily reveal a glowing new you with about 5 sessions to address vascular issues like redness and 3 sessions to address brown spots or other pigmentation concerns.

What can I expect after DPL?

Expect redness and mild swelling immediately following treatment. Brown spots, age spots, and freckles will darken 2-3 shades after treatment and flake off. In the treated area, your skin may feel like it has a slight sunburn. This should go away in a few hours, but it could last a day or two. Sun spots, age spots, and broken blood vessels should fade in one to two weeks. Several days after treatment, you should notice brighter, healthier-looking skin.
