RF Microneedling

Skin type: Aging and Sagging skin

A fine needle is used in microneedling to create microwounds, or channels, in the skin. This causes capillaries, elastin, and collagen to be produced. It's also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling.

If radiofrequency waves are also used, the procedure is known as radiofrequency microneedling. The needle causes additional damage by releasing radiofrequency into the channels. This improves the results of standard microneedling.

Treatment conditions

Radiofrequency microneedling is less invasive than treatments such as chemical peels and dermabrasion.

Stretchmarks

Stretchmarks Treatment.png

Microneedling with RF is a popular treatment for improving skin texture and reversing skin damage. It is important to note, however, that stretch marks (and scarring in general) are permanent textural changes to the skin. As a result, Microneedling with Radiofrequency helps in effectively lightening and smoothing their appearance.

However, younger stretchmarks are easier to remove. In a nutshell, newly formed stretch marks are still in the healing process. As a result, they are easier to reduce or diminish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is RF Microneedling treatment painful?

RF microneedling can cause discomfort even with numbing cream, but there are a few things done during the procedure to help you feel more at ease. In addition to we suggest to take some pain killer before the procedure to give you extra comfort during the treatment. Without this approach, RF microneedling can feel like a combination of sharp pokes and electric zaps.

What are the risks associated with RF microneedling?

If the treatment is not performed correctly, hyperpigmentation and scarring may occur. There's also a chance of facial fat loss and infection. The risk of infection is low if the after-care instructions are followed.

How many sessions will I require?

Depending on your skin goals, RF Microneedling treatments are typically performed every four weeks for a series of three to six treatments. While a single treatment can help with skin rejuvenation, we recommend three to five treatments for acne scars.

What can I expect after RF Microneedling?

Recovery differs from person to person, but most people will feel mild warmth and soreness for the first 24-48 hours. You will most likely be red after your treatment, but your skin should begin to calm down within 24 hours. Some people may experience bleeding, swelling, and bruising that can last up to a week. Most people are fine going back to work the next day with only a little makeup on. (Post care required)
